'Ambience' Flow Resistive Absorptive Panels
| Introduction NAP's new 'Ambience' Flow Resistive Absorptive Panels are the high technology alternative to the treatment of highly reverberant rooms and chambers, where noise reduction and an improved intelligibility of speech and sound is required. Their unique performance characteristics allow tuning to achieve the desired performance for any particular application. |
| Applications 'Ambience' Panels are an effective and economical solution to reverberant noise problems. The unique NAP design provides high sound absorption in an efficient and compact package. Due to the robust design and protection of the flow resistive membrane, the units are suitable for high traffic areas without concern for damage of the acoustic material. The unique system of using a high flow resistive lining eliminates the Occupational Health and Safety problems associated with the site cutting of fibrous insulation. In addition, as the flow resistive lining is factory bonded to the panel, a neater finish and appearance is obtained, especially as the problem of fibrous insulation protruding through the material is eliminated. This system also allows reduced installation time. |

Installation NAP 'Ambience' Panels can be installed either by permanently fixing to walls or by hanging in a similar manner to pictures, depending on specific requirements. Panels can also be fitted into standard suspended ceiling grids. |

| Acoustic Performance The NAP 'Ambience' Flow Resistive Absorptive Panels provide excellent acoustic performance characteristics. Typical performance figures are shown below. |
The performance data has been obtained from laboratory tests carried out at RMIT, Melbourne and tested in accordance with AS 1045-1988, 'Acoustics - Measurements of Sound Absorption in a Reverberation Room'. |
NAP 'Ambience' Panels are extremely effective in reducing overall noise levels in reverberant spaces. The maximum performance is achieved in areas of acoustically hard surfaces where high levels of reverberation noise exist. The absorption figures given above demonstrate the effect of alternative configurations of panels within a given area.
